10.00am – Judging of cattle section commences

10.00am – Craft and Food Produce Marquee open to the public

10.30am – Judging of sheep and poultry section

12.00pm – Judging of Children’s Pet Competition

1.00pm – Produce marquee open to public

1.00pm – Shire Horse judging

approx 1.15pm - Judging of the Young Handler Competition (Cattle and Sheep)

approx 2.00pm - Judging of Champion of Champions (Sheep)

2.00pm – Dog Show

2.00pm – Sheep Shearing Competitions

4.00pm – Presentation of Trophies in Marquee

CHAIRMAN’S ADDRESS
Talybont and North Ceredigion Agricultural and Horticultural Society

On behalf of the Talybont Show Committee, it gives me great pleasure to present the 2019 schedule. As per usual, the show will be held on the Black Lion Fields, Talybont and we are very grateful to Mr and Mrs Richards and family, Glanleri, Borth for their continued support.

The president this year is Ieuan Morgan (Alltgoch). Ieu is a very busy member of various committees in the village and he is also treasurer of the village hall and keeper of the hall keys.

I wish to thank Janet Jones, Llwynglas, for her tireless work over the years as secretary of the show. Janet has tried to retire from her duties but she still assists, as do many others on the committee. I would also like to wish Aeron Edwards (tent secretary) a full and speedy recovery from his illness.

I would like to draw the attention of our competitors to a change in the way we will be presenting cups from now on. Six cups were won outright in the marquee last year and nine were won outright by competitors in the field. Rather than asking individuals to replace them with new cups or trophies, the Show Committee has decided to present our successful competitors with rosettes. For the first time this year, the winners of Special Class 6, 15, 17, 25, 30 and 33 in the marquee and the winners of Special Class 23, 25, 27, 30, 33, 38, 41 and 52 in the livestock sections will receive a rosette rather than a cup. We will adhere to this new procedure every time a cup is won outright in future.
